Official: Russia’s Rosneft sale may bring 490 bln rbl to budget

MOSCOW, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- Privatization of Russian oil major Rosneft may bring 490 billion rubles to the budget in 2016, Deputy Finance Minister Yury Zubarev said at the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house, on Friday.

The government’s privatization list for 2016 includes a 19.5% stake in Rosneft. The government holds 69.5% in Rosneft through Rosneftegaz.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in late 2015 that the stake price must stand at 500 billion rubles at least.

Presidential Aide Andrei Belousov said Thursday that the sale of 19.5% in Rosneft to a strategic investor with a premium to the market was the basic scenario of its privatization.
